Stringtown is a negociant style project that first started out of the need in the market for affordable high quality Pinot Noir. Now in its second vintage Stringtown has grown to encompass more than just Pinot Noir. The Pinot Grigio is one of the first in the country from Oregon to carry this label, instead of Pinot Gris, since the laws were changed in October 2007. The Rose is in its second vintage and is more vibrant and fresh than last year. Lastly, brand new is the Cotes du Rogue a fantastic blend from the Rogue valley. All the grapes being grown for Stringtown are done so without pesticides and chemical fertilizers. Here the focus is on organic farming and examing the ecological relationship between soil, plants and animals. The winemaking is built on community and the strong support of independent growers who uphold this philosophy and make wines that are true representations of the land, vintage and climate. The integrity of the winemakers and the luscious, carefully farmed fruit make Stringtown a standout.
