Château Pasquet

Chalet Pouilly

Winery

Family estate since established in 1964 by George Pernette, Chateau Pasquet is very seriously run by the two sons, Michel & Jean-Francois. Elaborated with the utmost care in an up-to-date cellar mixing thermo-regulated stainless tanks for vinification process and concrete ones for aging, together with French oak barrels for a proportion of the wine, Château Pasquet Red Bordeaux is made from an interesting blend of the five main Bordeaux varietals, including a touch of Malbec and Petit Verdot.

All vines are planted on superb gravely/limestone-clayey slopes located in Escoussans, 35kms (56 miles) Southeast of Bordeaux, at a 100-meters altitude. This very specific terroir with a fabulous view overlooking the Garonne River – also reputed as the “Haut-Benauge” for its terrific Entre-deux-Mers – is very distinctive and provides red wines with deep color and extraction, as well as a great potential.

Pouilly Fuisse 2006

Bordeaux Rouge Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée

Very dark color with purple hues. Extremely opulent and attractive nose of freshly harvested and crushed berries, going on blackcurrant and dark plum, but above all… you feel like smelling a glass of ripe clean berries full of sun… So fresh, yummy and sappy…like having some dark fruits sorbets on the mouth. Never ending freshness and fruity, round feeling. Velvety and silky tannins ending on licorice and prunes, round and chewy notes.

“Smoky with a vanilla and berry character on the nose. Full bodied, with velvety tannins. Loads of berries and currants in the long finish…”
