About Us

Sherbrooke Cellars, founded in 2006, distributes a unique, carefully selected, and competitively priced portfolio of high-quality wines to restaurant and retail customers in New York and New Jersey.

Mission

Sherbrooke Cellars’ mission is to build direct relationships between the estates we represent and their retail and restaurant customers in the New York Metro area. Our goal is to build strong, sustainable brands for our winery partners, and to supply both best-in-class and excellent-value wines to our retail and restaurant customers.

Estates

Our wineries possess compelling stories involving the elements of superior winemaking, tradition and family legacy. We work with winemakers who are passionate about crafting wines that reflect the vineyards from which their wines originate and thereby express that unique combination of climate, geography and soil characteristics known as terroir. Thus our wineries, in addition to having their own personal stories, produce wines that become storytellers themselves.

Above all else we insist on quality. The methods of production that our winemakers employ run the full spectrum from time-honored and traditional to organic and even biodynamic. Every bottle meets the highest standard of quality and must, at any price, represent a “best value” in its category.

Our Portfolio

Each winery occupies a unique place in our portfolio, and each wine a distinct style within its category and price point. We are careful to avoid competition within the portfolio by purposefully avoiding the selection of multiple wines that could potentially vie for the same spot on restaurant wine lists or space on retail shelves. In this environment, our sales representatives are enabled to devote their time and attention to placing all of our wines with the appropriate customer. We sell what our customers want, not what we need them to buy.

People

We believe that by building a direct relationship between our winemakers and their retail and restaurant customers, we create a more meaningful and loyal relationship between the winery and the consumer. Ultimately, in a world of infinite choices with so many great wines to choose from, people choose to buy from people.

We believe that what makes wine truly interesting is the connection between the people who make it and the people who will choose one wine over another because of how they relate to its story and to the people behind the wine. We believe it is the understanding of the processes that go into producing a wine, together with the story of the people who make it, that transforms wine into something memorable rather than something to be simply swallowed and forgotten.

Product Care

Our quality standards are an integral part of our day-to-day operations, and we are committed to handling our products with tremendous care. We exclusively use refrigerated containers to ship the wines to the USA, and possess a temperature-controlled storage facility. Only refrigerated trucks are used to deliver our wines to our customers.
